Arri Alexa LARGE FORMAT
The new ARRI camera is called LARGE FORMAT. At last Arri offers a camera with very high resolution offering 4448 x 3096 lines (4.5K) in a sensor somewhat larger than the Full Frame: 36.7 x 25.54mm. Although Arri already offered the Alexa 65, this one could only be rented to Arri Rental, with this new model has thought in the market of the houses of rent. We had to wait since this new camera offers at the same time 4.5K and loses nothing of the dynamic range or color technology that has made the Alexa series the camera preferred by the film industry.
Alexa LF offers recording in ProRes and ARRIRAW format, achieving 150 fps. Use the new SXR Capture Drives. It continues to offer a native sensitivity of 800 ASA and a dynamic range of 14 stops, just like the rest of the Alexa range.
Regarding the specifications of the sensor, it offers us: LF OpenGate, LF 16: 9 and LF 2.39: 1 and resolutions up to 4.5K that we only get in Open Gate mode and LF 2.39: 1. Of course the lower resolution formats are also available.

The features are completed with the EVF-1 viewer and Electronic Rolling Shutter. Its means of capture are both the SxS (but time of 256 gigs) and the SXR discs up to 2T for recording in ARRIRAW.
